Gendered collector networks of 21st Century heritage sites

The LHSF are please to announce we will be hosting a free online seminar presented by Natalie Brimcome-Mills: ‘Gendered collector networks of 21st Century heritage sites‘, on 29 February 2024, at 18:30.

The seminar will explore some of Natalie’s ongoing PhD research into gendered roles in the development of cultural heritage sites. We will receive an introduction to the key social network practices of Dr Isabel Grant (Highland Folk Museum) and Ethel Rudkin (Lincolnshire Folklorist and antiquarian). Natalie explains that these regional stories touch upon perceived collection practices, recurrent at national level alongside wider gendered challenges and achievements.

Natalie is the Programme Leader for the University of Lincoln’s MA Cultural Heritage Management course.

The seminar is open to all students, and anyone interested in the topic.
