Information from Sandford Cascade Co-ordinator Rachel Bryant:
Dear East Midlands Heritage Site
This information is of relevance to any staff and/or volunteers working in a learning or education capacity at your heritage site.
I would like to invite you to a short, informal workshop here at Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln, to provide an opportunity for you to be involved in the exciting Sandford Cascade Project.
I will tell you a bit about the 4-year East Midlands-based Heritage Lottery Funded project, and what the benefits of your involvement would be. Briefly, the project can support your site to apply for a Sandford Award (a prestigious award for heritage education), and will provide a bursary, equipment, CPD opportunities and volunteers if required. I am really keen for you to be involved in this innovative opportunity as the project aims to strengthen learning in the historical environment, and to raise the standards of education delivery in the East Midlands region.
The workshop will be held at Bishop Grosseteste University on Wednesday 13th April 10:00-12:30.
Refreshments and free parking will be provided, and we can also reimburse your travelling expenses/mileage.
You are more than welcome to bring another member of staff/volunteer with you – please just let me know your numbers so I can organise refreshments and parking spaces.
Apologies if you are not the appropriate contact; I would appreciate it if you could please pass this onto the relevant person.
If you are interested in attending but cannot make the date or time then I would be happy to come and visit you.
I thank you for your time, and sincerely hope you can come to the workshop.
With best wishes
Sandford Cascade Co-ordinator
