Don’t miss the last talk of the season!

We heard him a couple of years ago giving a most entertaining talk about the History of the Harvest Festival. This time, Andrew Sankey, garden designer, nurseryman and lecturer, gives a talk and slide show looking at Ancient Turf Mazes.

Cut out of grass, turf mazes were at one time widespread in Britain. Like all mazes, a turf maze had a single path to its centre and was a Christian pilgrimage symbol during the middle ages. Only eight turf mazes now remain – you’ll discover where and why they were constructed.

Tuesday, 1st March 2016 at the Village Hall, King Street, West Deeping.
