There is an exciting opportunity for young people to get involved with archaeology being led by Lincoln University, so if you are in contact with your local secondary school, it would be great if you could pass this on to them.
Prof Carenza Lewis (from Time Team) is starting a major new project aimed at 14-17 year olds where they can participate in some test pitting excavations here in Lincolnshire, with training provided by her and a team from the University of Cambridge.
Schools can put forward teams of 8 students, and there is no cost involved. However, the dig starts on 21st October so it would be worth getting in touch sooner rather than later.
There is more info and contact details on the University of Lincoln website.
