Half Term Activity
Tiles, Patterns and Pictures!
If you enjoy craft activities and creating patterns then why not come along to the Cottage Museum in Woodhall Spa and enjoy a creative workshop at half term?
The craft activities are inspired by the wonderful array of pictures and patterns to be found on the fantastic array of decorative tiles from the Victorian and Edwardian periods. The session will include the opportunity to paint a tile design, use clay to create a relief tile and the chance to make a pendant inspired by a period tile design. This workshop designed to support the current temporary exhibition Houses and Homes, Past and Present, which will be on show until the 7th June. Many of the Victorian and Edwardian homes would have had decorative floor and wall tiles.
The session will take place on Thursday 28th May and will run from 10.00am – 12.00pm at the Cottage Museum, Iddesleigh Road LN10 6SH.
Admission is £3.00 per child. Children must be accompanied.
