I know that some of you are already aware of the project that is being delivered by Civic Voice on war memorials. If you’re not familiar with it, the project “will help to conserve and protect the nation’s war memorials for the long term as we as ensuring that there are skilled volunteers available to assess their condition and take steps to preserve them in the proper way.”
You can find out more at: http://www.civicvoice.org.uk/campaigns/war-memorials-/
The project is being developed by Anna Wilson at Civic Voice, and she has organised a workshop in Lincoln on 23rd April, at the Drill Hall, to talk about the project, and about how to identify and record the condition of your local war memorials and steps that can be taken to conserve them for the future.
