Looking for something to do this Easter holiday, then why not come along and join in Effie’s Easter Egg Hunt at the Cottage Museum in Woodhall Spa from the 1st April onwards? You can explore the Museum displays, find a selection of decorated eggs, unravel the clues and see if you can work out the answer to complete the challenge!!!
Many years ago, Effie and her brother Cedric lived in the bungalow which is now known as the Cottage Museum, and they would have joined in the Easter activities of the time. You can find out about Effie and Cedric and their donkeys and see pictures of them when you visit the Museum. You can also play with a selection of toys and games similar to those played with by Effie and Cedric and other children in Victorian and Edwardian times.
This year, the Cottage Museum is opening on 1st April, two days earlier than Good Friday and so you are welcome and join in Effie’s Easter Egg Hunt any day from the 1st April to the 13th April. The Cottage Museum, Iddesleigh Road, Woodhall Spa LN10 6SH is open daily from 10.30am – 4.30pm. Although the Easter Egg Hunt is FREE to enter, normal admission charges apply £2.50 for adults, £2.00 concessions and there is no admission charge for accompanied children under 16 years.
The current Activity Programme is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Museum redevelopment project. If you have any queries, please contact the Tourist Information Office located in the Museum 01526 353775 or the Museum Office 01526 353456
