Lincolnshire Archives – Local History

The Lincolnshire Archives holds a good collection of published books and articles on individual villages. They can also provide a wealth of material such as maps, parish records, school records, quarter sessions and census returns, which are valuable in conducting your own local history. Historic buildings in the Lincolnshire Wolds

18th March 2015,10am to 4pm

Join us for a day workshop on how to spot historic buildings in the Lincolnshire Wolds at Belchford Village Hall. The event will include talks from various experts exploring the styles of historic buildings in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Specialists include Heritage Lincolnshire’s Historic Buildings officer, members from Lincolnshire County Council’s Historic Environment team, an expert Lincolnshire farmsteads and leader in the field of Mud and Stud. Places are limited so get in touch to book a place.

 

War Memorial Workshop

15th April 2015, 10am -3pm

Would you like to learn more about your local war memorial, and the stories that it can tell about your local community?

Come and join us for a day’s training on how to record and research your local war memorial and the people who are recorded on it.

This workshop is in partnership with the Lincolnshire Remembrance, Memories and Memorials project. Please get in touch to book a place.
