Summer Workshop – Who cares about our collections? The role of specialist curators

Wednesday 17th September 2014

10.30am – 3.30pm

The Cottage Museum, Iddesleigh Road, Woodhall Spa, LN10 6SH

‘Who cares about our collections?’ will explore the role of specialist curators in the museum and heritage sector. In a climate where roles for specialist curators are in decline, we explore how this affects museums, galleries and historic properties. Are there visible negative effects, or does creating access to specialists from outside the sector provide a valuable alternative?
