Voluntary Sector Forum – 18th September, Sleaford

Join Voluntary Centre Services North Kesteven for their quarterly Voluntary Sector Forum on September 18th.

Topics include:

Heritage Lottery Fund – Grants to celebrate, share or record people’s heritage

Whether its people’s memories or traditions, historic places or events, parks or industrial history HLF invest in every aspect of people’s heritage. Find out more about their range of grant schemes.

Alzheimer’s Society – Dementia action

Find out about the Dementia Friends campaign and the work of the new South Lincs Dementia Action Alliance.

Mentors to support new volunteers

Trying new things can be daunting, particularly for people who face additional barriers such as mental health problems. Hear about a new project to enable more people to take the first steps into volunteering with the support of mentors.

Plus an ‘open forum’ slot for anyone to share news or forthcoming events, leaflet swap and a networking lunch.

Why not combine the Forum with the afternoon workshop:

Involving volunteers with extra support needs – an opportunity to consider potential barriers to volunteering and how organisations can help overcome them.

Both the Forum and the afternoon workshop are free. For further details or to register your attendance please click on the links, or phone Voluntary Centre Services on 01529 308450.
