You are warmly invited along to the Library in Woodhall Spa on Thursday 31st July, to listen to interactive stories about the exciting adventures of the children and donkeys that lived long, long ago in the bungalow which is now the Cottage Museum.
Volunteers from the Cottage Museum will bring along some pictures of the donkeys and the children, who were called Effie and Cedric. There will also be some replica costume from the period and examples of the types of toys the children would have played with.
The Story-time session will start at 10.30am at Woodhall Spa Library, Station Road, Woodhall Spa LN10 6QL. Everyone is welcome to come along although as a guide, the event will be most suitable for 8 years and under. Children must be accompanied. Admission is FREE and there is no need to book, just come along and join in the fun!
The award winning Cottage Museum is located in Iddesleigh Road about 5 minutes walk from the Library. The museum re-opened last year with attractive new displays and interpretation after extensive redevelopment, which was funded primarily by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The Museum is grateful to the Library for hosting this special story time.
