New support for Accreditation in the East Midlands
For this current financial year (2014/2015) Accreditation support for the region is being delivered by a new person, as Elaine has moved onto pastures new. Fiona Mitchell-Innes, who has been delivering Accreditation support in the SW and London, as well as the West Midlands for the past 3 years, is thrilled to now be supporting museums in the East Midlands for this year.
Fiona will be delivering Accreditation support across the Midlands region for the next 12 months – helping museums submitting their returns in tranches 14 to 20, as well as supporting those who wanting to become Accredited or have ‘Working towards status’. She will be working approximately 6 days a month on this contract and will be delivering a series of workshops and surgery sessions throughout the year, as well as offering bespoke advice by email or phone.
Fiona says ‘I am thrilled to be working across the Midlands for the next year, to help and support Museums on all areas of Accreditation. I live in the region – in North Nottinghamshire – so it is great be able to work on my home turf and help my local museums use Accreditation as a development tool for their future progress. Accreditation is a great scheme for Museums – as I say is a successful planning tool to help staff and Boards focus energies for development. Over the coming months I will be running a series of Accreditation training and support workshops as well as surgeries across the region, which I hope you will be able to attend. All of these will be advertised via the Museums Development East Midlands Website and newsletters. I am also available by email and my details are at the end of this article. I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming months.’
Fiona will be working 6 days a month on Accreditation across the Midlands region and can be contacted on email@example.com. Keep an eye on MDEM newsletters and website for news of the workshop programme – which should be available in June 2014 – link here . http://mdem.org.uk/
