Lindum Colonia Day with Woodhurst Conservation

Visit Lincoln/Lincoln BIG’s first ‘Lindum Colonia Day’ takes place on 17 May. 

There will be a Roman camp at the Castle, Romans marching through the city for the first time in 1600 years, and we’ll be holding a stall to talk about how Roman artefacts make the journey from being buried to being seen in museums.

WH have recruited some help from among the University’s conservation students, and will be  talking to people about their work, demonstrating some of the techniques that might be used on Roman finds, answering questions and hosting some ‘have a go’ activities for adults and children.
