Amazing Aviation is a production partially funded by an Armed Forces Covenant Grant -The show will highlight the social and economic contribution of the armed forces to Lincolnshire, through a fun, and educational multimedia show that is designed with the younger generation in mind and is completely family friendly.
The project will visit 40 schools in Lincolnshire and perform our production free of charge. In order to fully fund these free schools productions, there will also be eight public performances.
Amazing Aviation will communicate the background of Lincolnshire’s extensive and fabulously rich aviation history in a way that will excite the younger generation; creating links between historical facts in a fun and engaging manner, thus enhancing their overall experience of the museum.
The show explores the history behind the amazing talents of the Red Arrows and discovers all about the only airworthy Lancaster in Britain, and Spitfires, Hurricanes, Chipmunks and a Dakota. The team also re-live one of the first recorded flights by man, ‘Elmer the flying monk’, explain Bomber Command, and the Dambusters, and reveal how the plane ‘Just Jane’ got her name!
This amazing production is told through sketches and uses actors combined modern technology. Narrator Dan Buster, will take you on a journey that you will never forget!
Hire of this event costs £400 for the day and performances would take place up to three times a day. Interested parties have the option of paying an extra £150 to enhance the experience with actors roaming the venue in full costume in-between shows. There is currently availability for show hire availability from mid July and throughout the summer holidays.
