Joyce Jefford, a Director of the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society Ltd (LVVS) and the East Midlands Museums Service (EMMS).
Joyce became Minutes Secretary of the LHF in November 2011, having previously been a Committee member from 2001 to 2004.
A retired Civil Servant, Joyce has been active in museum management as a volunteer for about 20 years following her husband Paul (since she joined him in his hobby because she wasn’t going to play second fiddle to any bus!) She was Secretary to the Sheffield Bus Museum Trust and has also served briefly as Treasurer of the Roads and Road Transport History Association Ltd. For the last twelve years she has been an active member of the LVVS, in which she has held a number of posts including Company Secretary.
Joyce is an individual member of the Museums Association (MA) has attended a MA Conference and an Association of Independent Museums one. She attends regularly the meetings of the National Association of Road Transport Museums and sees the value of networking with a range of professionals and staff in the wider world of museums.
Joyce sees a role for the Heritage Forum as an advocate for the museums and heritage sector in Lincolnshire. And believes it is important to provide advertising via the “Only in Lincolnshire” leaflet and the Heritage Awards.
